The owners of the 17-building apartment complex wanted to renovate the 18,000-square-foot building. They found voids in the foundation. The voids had been caused by compacted wetland sedimentary soil beneath the complex. Throughout the years, numerous water main breaks have also led to a need for a foundation solution. The owners knew the foundation solution needed to be non-disruptive to accommodate the tenants.
The company contracted to repair the foundation voids used PolyPier by ECP. The contractor chose PolyPier because cement or mud is much more costly, messier, and time-consuming. One of the main goals of the complex’s owners was to minimize disturbances to their tenants. As a result of using PolyPier by ECP, the foundation repairs were completed promptly and did not disrupt the tenants. If the contractor had used mud or cement, the repair job would have cost much more due to the extended hours that a labor crew would have had to be there.

The complex’s owners and residents were delighted with the results of using PolyPier by ECP. Lower labor costs, reduced cleaning, and minimal disruption left everyone satisfied with the process and the results. The foundation solution, PolyPier by ECP, has remained strong since the repairs, leaving the owners and tenants pleased with the complex. Read more about it here.
